Rachel K. is a seasoned non-profit leader, having spent her entire career supporting non-profit organizations across the country, partnering with executive leaders to increase positive impact, diversify revenue streams, and strengthen internal capacity. Rachel specializes in designing scalable programs, cultivating strategic partnerships, and developing collaborative strategies. She has particular expertise in the social safety net and financial mobility, social drivers of health, and food and nutrition security.

Rachel began her career leading youth disaster preparedness programs for the American Red Cross, where she built a program that ultimately reached more than one million children. She then joined United Way Worldwide as the national leader of the 211 network, a free social services helpline operated by more than 250 local organizations. Rachel and her team partnered with 211 agencies to modernize the system’s technology infrastructure and expand its services through public-private partnerships. Rachel also led the network through its first rebranding since its inception, securing a national PSA campaign through the AdCouncil and fully redesigning the national 211 website. Most recently, Rachel was the VP for SDOH strategy and partnerships at ProMedica, a non-profit health system, where she focused on shifting healthcare investment into social drivers of health through a comprehensive intervention, data, and advocacy strategy. Today, Rachel provides organizational, fundraising, and change management strategy consulting for non-profits and health systems, including the Food is Medicine Coalition, About Fresh, and Nemours Children’s Health. Rachel lives in southern Maine with her wife and their rescue dog, Aoife.

Lisa M.

Lisa M. is a communications professional who has dedicated her career to helping nonprofit and social impact organizations build and implement effective communications, marketing, and PR strategies that activate their communities, create measurable impact and exceed fundraising goals.

Lisa began her career as a journalist working internationally for lifestyle publications focused primarily on food, wine, tourism, and the arts. After eight years abroad, she returned to the U.S. and settled in Boulder, Colorado where she continued her work in publishing before starting her agency, With Good Cause, focused on providing communications and public relations support to social impact companies and nonprofit organizations. She has worked extensively across a variety of industries including education, healthcare, small business services, small government entities, human rights, poverty, and girls’ empowerment.

Some of Lisa’s most notable projects include the 20th Anniversary campaign for the “I Have a Dream” Foundation of Boulder County, where she coordinated and promoted a campaign that resulted in acquiring more than 400 first-time donors, 120 new volunteers and increased attendance of their annual signature event by 100% over the previous year. She holds a certificate in Sports Philanthropy from The George Washington University and spent more than 9 years as media advisor to Von’s Vision, the foundation created by former Denver Bronco, Von Miller where she worked closely with him on media appearances and donor events. She led a campaign to raise more than $400,000 in a matter of weeks to bring clean water to soldiers and citizens in war-torn Ukraine, built an awareness campaign about human trafficking in Nepal that captured the attention of the President of Nepal and CNN International, and developed a health benefits campaign that activated more than 2,000 families to speak up for Medicaid services for children in California.

Lisa’s work in the community is central to her business values and success. She has served on the Board of Directors for the “I Have A Dream” Foundation of Boulder County, The Public Interest Internship Experience at The University of Colorado, The Eye Health Institute and the Denver Better Business Bureau. She currently holds a position on the Advisory Board for the Sports Philanthropy Certification program at The George Washington University, serves on the Social Enterprise Committee for Girls Inc. Metro Denver. She is an active mentor with the Watson Institute and the Center of Social Entrepreneurship at Miami University.

BIOGRAPHY
Lauren is a strategic leader with extensive experience advising nonprofit, education sector, and start-up clients. With expertise in strategic planning, the design of systems, processes, and operations, and staff leadership, Lauren provides consultation with CEOs and their leadership teams. In previous roles, she has served as the right-hand of senior leaders and CEOs, supporting their strategic plans, translating vision into operations and process, and delegating to junior staff.
Sweating the small stuff, Lauren is committed to making sure the ball is never dropped through meticulous project planning; she knows that this level of organization is necessary in order to remain flexible and ready for the unexpected. She is an expert in managing up, supporting executive leaders to set strategy, build operational systems, and prioritize (including by learning to say “no” when necessary). Lauren is a values-driven leader: diversity, equity, inclusion, and liberation are her professional north stars. Personally, she is driven by her commitments to social justice, family, lifelong learning, and community building.

In 2023, Lauren was hired by Hopebound’s Board of Directors to conduct its first post-Founder CEO hiring search, and has since continued on with Hopebound to lead the new CEO’s onboarding and transition. She is also currently engaged with Intertribal Agriculture Council, supporting the C-Suite through a period of unprecedented organizational growth, staffing structural changes, and an internal change management process.

Lauren holds a Master of Science in Teaching from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Boston University. She has completed coursework focused on facilitation and the transformation of individual and group performance at Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership. She began her career in New York City’s public schools, teaching high school English and middle school Writing. After leaving the classroom, Lauren worked at Teach For All for several years before turning her focus to leading the Revolve Community and its staff, a leadership development program focused on supporting current and former educators (for alumni of the Schusterman Family Philanthropies’ REALITY program).

Biography
Alison has 15+ years of experience bringing her creative and innovative vision to non profit management, strategic planning, arts and culture, and community engagement. Alison has overseen over $8 million in successful capital and donor campaigns, built non profit boards from the ground up, and worked on major branded content campaigns around the country.

She most recently served as the Chief Strategic Officer for SeriesFest, a world renowned non profit and festival focused on episodic storytelling. She transformed the organization from a three day festival into a 365 day non for profit that serves over 15,000 creators annually from around the world and works with all the major networks and platforms globally including Xfinity, HBO, Amazon, Showtime, F/X and Hulu. Prior to that, she worked at the Advancement Director of Denver Film and oversaw the Capital Campaign to purchase their home, the Sie FilmCenter.

She has extensive knowledge and relationships within Denver’s philanthropic community, including serving on the boards and event committees of the Children’s Museum, Denver Botanic Gardens, Third Way, and Children’s Hospital 2221 Society. Alison loves being a rare Denver native, and lives in Cherry Hills Village with her husband, two daughters and golden retriever.
