BIOGRAPHY
During Noel’s career at Xcel Energy, Inc. she served in a variety of leadership positions and was involved with large projects including mergers, reorganizations, new technology implementations, process improvement initiatives and creating a new workspace environment, all of which the success of the project depended upon cultural changes and/or people changing the way they work. It has been her experience that when the people side of the project or, change management, was addressed in an effective, disciplined approach complimentary to project management, the project was exponentially more successful and expected benefits were realized. On the other hand, when change management was not effectively performed, the projects expected benefits were not realized and in some cases it took years for productivity and benefits to be realized.
Noel feels that change management as a distinct discipline is often overlooked because many businesses and organizations do not understand it or know how to execute it effectively. Upon retiring from Xcel Energy Inc., Noel wanted to bring her change management expertise to organizations to help them increase the return on investment and to realize the expected benefits of their projects. Organizations she has recently worked with as an independent consultant include Western Union, MiCasa Resources and the state of Wyoming. She has also given change management workshops to various organizations including Jones Lang LaSalle, Lockheed Martin, and RNL Design.
Key change management services provided by Noel include assessing the change readiness or your project and company culture, developing a customized change management plan for your specific project, organization and workplace culture, facilitating the change management plan and conducting workshops on the value of change management.
